The MidWeek Mention - The Original Yankee-Brit

We must pay tribute to the late, great Elizabeth Taylor who died today of congestive heart failure. Liz was born in Hamsptead, London to American parents and held British and American citizenship.


Not only was she a legendary beauty and one of the greats of Hollywood, Liz was a passionate advocate for AIDS research.

She will be missed.

    Yes...... the end of an era. It is very sad and she will be missed.
    It doesn't seem so long ago that she was in all these wonderful films that packed the cinemas out.
    I didn't think that her death announcement did justice to all that, some how. Just a moment to tell us what had happened.I suppose there is a lot going on in the News right now.

    We're getting a lot of coverage on TV over here. I think her funeral wil be huge though.
